Show Me The Way And I’ll Go There: Sculptural Explorations

Show Me The Way And I’ll Go There, is a series of small-scale sculpture works that intricately weave together the symbolic nature of metal, rock, crystals, and diamonds. Based upon a dragon tetrahedron crystal grid layout, each artwork within the series embodies the transformative potential of these materials, inviting viewers into a realm where material transcends its physicality.

At the heart of this series lies the exploration of material energy and its ability to manifest in vibrant and dynamic forms. The transmutative power of metal takes center stage, serving as a metaphor for the processes of personal and spiritual transformation. The malleability and strength inherent in metal and diamonds symbolize the potential within each individual to undergo profound change during moments of extreme pressure.

Central to this exploration is the recognition of the human body as a vessel capable of resonating with and harnessing the frequencies that permeate the universe. Inspired by my practice of reiki and energy healing, the sculptures delve into the concept of the human form as a conduit for higher energies, celebrating the interconnectedness of all beings and as a reminder of our innate connection to the cosmos. Each artwork is a portal, a sacred space reminiscent of an altar—a shrine dedicated to our guides, ancestors, "the" mother or mothers, and love itself. The term "altar/alter" provokes contemplation on the implications it holds for the self—a space for acknowledging change and making a difference, an invitation to embark on a transformative journey.

The ceremonial objects that comprise this series are crafted using bronze, silver, and diamonds. Hand carved from wax, cast, and patinated with fire, and bear the imprint and energy of intention. The artwork not only engages the visual senses but also offers a sensorial experience through touch, with their varied textures and weight, smell, the presence of incense in the air, and chimes reverberating, creating a symphony of sound. The sensory dimensions of these artworks enhance the immersive experience, inviting viewers to engage with their surroundings in a profound and introspective manner. Show Me The Way And I’ll Go There, is an exploration of the inherent potential within each individual, the interconnectedness of all beings, and the transformative power of energy.
